Naba Das Murder: Justice JP Das, DGP Bansal Visit Crime Spot In Brajarajnagar

Bhubaneswar: Orissa High Court Justice (retired) JP Das, who is monitoring the ongoing Crime Branch probe into the murder of Health Minister Naba Kisore Das, visited the crime spot at Brajarajnagar in Jharsuguda district on Wednesday.

Justice Das reached Jharsuguda on Tuesday and inspected the crime spot near Gandhi Chowk along with Crime Branch ADG Arun Bothra. Justice Das also took stock of the progress made in the probe into the murder so far. The Crime Branch ADG briefed him about different aspects of the investigation.

Justice Das has already expressed his satisfaction with the investigation being conducted by the Crime Branch. He said that recreating the crime scene on Tuesday will help in the investigation and the probe is moving on the right track. He expressed the hope that it will reach its logical conclusion.

Besides Justice Das, Odisha DGP Sunil Kumar Bansal also visited the crime spot with senior officials. He reached Jharsuguda on Tuesday along with Director of Intelligence Sanjeev Panda and ADG (Law&Order) RK Sharma.

Bansal took stock of the progress made in the investigation and will also hold a discussion with the Crime Branch officers in this regard. He said that he is satisfied with the progress of the investigation and the Crime Branch will take Gopal Das on further remand today.
