Bhubaneswar: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) team of the Crime Branch is carrying out sustained interrogation of ASI Gopal Krishna Das, the accused in Health Minister Naba Kisore Das murder case.
The Crime Branch has been brought accused Gopal Krishna Das on police remand for a period of four days, said an official press release.
The release said that inspection of the vehicle and the crime spot is continuing with the assistance of Scientific Officer and Ballistic Experts using FARO 3-D Scanner.
One team led by one DSP is examining the witnesses including the supporters of the departed leader present at the spot on January 29.
Another team headed by a DSP and staffs are verifying the medical treatment aspect and financial behaviour of accused Gopal Krishna Das. Examination of the neighbour and villagers is continuing by the team at the native village of accused, the release added.
Steps are being taken to conduct Forensic Psychological Assessment and Layered Voice Analysis test of accused by experts of the CFSL, New Delhi, the release said.
Post Mortem report suggests that the death was caused due to cardiogenic shock as a result of Fire arm injuries and is homicidal in nature. Further, Collection, collation and analysis of evidence collected so far is being done by a CID-CB team, the release added.
The Additional Director General of Police, CID-Crime Odisha is camping at the spot and personally monitoring and supervising the investigation of the case.
The investigation of the case is continuing, the release further said.
