Nabarangpur: A shocking incident unfolded on Monday in Haladi village under Chandahandi police limits of Nabarangpur district. A man allegedly murdered his wife and hid her body inside the wooden box of his bed before fleeing the scene.
Police have reached the spot and are investigating the matter.
According to reports, Yuddhar Singh Nayak of Haladi village was married to Anita Sori, daughter of Kamalakant Sori from Bhatrawahali village under Devbhog police station in Chhattisgarh, following traditional Vedic rituals. The couple has a two-year-old daughter.
On Saturday, a quarrel reportedly broke out between the husband and wife, following which he allegedly killed her, locked the house, and absconded.
After receiving information, the woman’s father filed a complaint at Chandahandi police station.
Subsequently, ASI Bijuram Bagh visited the spot, seized the body, and has launched a thorough investigation into the case.
