Nabarangpur: The Vigilance sleuths today swooped down on a senior clerk of the Regulated Market Committee (RMC) here for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets against his known sources of income.
The government servant, under the anti-corruption wing’s scanner, has been identified as Ashok Nanda.
The raids were being simultaneously conducted on three places by the officials of Koraput Vigilance division.
The raided places were stated to be Nanda’s double-storeyed paternal house, another double-storeyed personal residence at Bhatishala and the RMC office.
Till the report last came in, the Vigilance sleuths had detected seven four-wheelers allegedly owned by the RMC senior clerk.
Jeypore DSP Surendranath Panigrahy informed that the total amount of Nanda’s disproportionate assets could be assessed only after the raids are completed.
