Bhubaneswar: The Nandankanan Zoological Park and State Botanical Garden will remain closed to visitors today, informed the Nandankanan Deputy Director, Sanath Kumar Narayan.
While Nandankanan usually remains closed for visitors on Mondays, this year the last Raja fell on Monday, June 16, and the Nandankanan Zoological Park and State Botanical Garden were open to visitors. That’s why Nandankanan will remain closed today, according to the Deputy Director.
Visitors are advised to plan their trips accordingly and check the park’s schedule before heading out.
It is pertinent to mention that the Nandankanan Zoological Park witnessed a significant influx of tourists on the last day of the Raja Festival, with 18,134 visitors flocking to the zoo. Additionally, 1,274 tickets were sold at the State Botanical Garden. This brings the total number of visitors to the Nandankanan Zoo and State Botanical Garden to 78,322 over the three-day Raja festival.
