Nandankanan Zoo Sees Heavy Crowds In Raja Fest

Bhubaneswar: The Nandankanan Zoological Park witnessed a significant influx of tourists on the last day of the Raja Festival, with 18,134 visitors flocking to the zoo. Additionally, 1,274 tickets were sold at the State Botanical Garden. This brings the total number of visitors to the Nandankanan Zoo and State Botanical Garden to 78,322 over the three-day Raja festival.

On the second day of the festival, Nandankanan recorded 39,582 visitors, with 37,108 visiting the zoo and 2,474 visiting the State Botanical Garden. The zoo authorities had made proper security and visitor support arrangements, ensuring a smooth operation.

On the first day of the festival, 24,856 visitors came to Nandankanan, with 106 security personnel and 32 volunteers deployed to manage the crowd. Special arrangements were made for the comfort of tourists, including 32 drinking water points. The zoo authorities had taken measures to ensure a pleasant experience for the visitors
