Nandankanan Zoological Park

Bhubaneswar: In a special arrangement for tourists and animal lovers, the Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar will remain open on June 16 (Monday), despite it being a weekly holiday.

The decision was made by the zoo authorities to capitalise on the anticipated large crowd during the three-day Raja Festival, which concludes on that day.

Usually, the zoo draws a significant number of visitors during the festival, and the authorities did not want to miss out on the opportunity to cater to the expected influx of tourists. As a result, the zoo will remain closed on the following day, June 17 (Tuesday), instead.

This special arrangement is expected to bring joy to tourists who have planned to visit the zoo during the Raja Festival. The zoo authorities’ decision will likely enhance the festive experience for visitors who have chosen the zoo as a favourite destination in their travel plans.
