Bhubaneswar: A male wallaby died in Nandankanan Zoological Park while undergoing treatment on Monday.
The dead wallaby’s carcass has been sent to OUAT for autopsy.
A pair of wallabies comprising of a male and female were inducted into the Nandankanan Zoo on December 23 last year.
The animals were procured from a private organisation in Hyderabad.
With the death of the male wallaby, Nandankanan Zoo is now left with only one female wallaby.
