Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Thursday transferred Cuttack Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani and appointed him as the Director, Higher Education. Narahari Sethy, who was serving as the Director of Higher Education, will replace Chayani as Collector and District Magistrate of Cuttack.
A notification issued by the General Administration Department of the Government of Odisha read, “ln exercise of the powers conferred under Section 20(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 (Act ll of 1974), the State Government do hereby appoint Shri Narahari Sethy, OAS(SAG) as the District Magistrate in the district of Cuttack.”
It is worth mentioning here that the state government had recently effected a major reshuffle in the OAS cadre for revision of the photo electoral roll.
