Narala Forest Ranger Dies In Elephant Attack In Odisha’s Kalahandi

Dhenkanal: Prashant Pal, the Ranger of Narla Forest Division, who was attacked by an elephant on Sunday morning, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a local medical facility.

According to updated reports, ranger Pal arrived at the scene with the elephant and cattle squad this morning after receiving the news of the presence of an elephant herd near Tulapada village Ampada.

Meanwhile, Ranger Prashant Pal was attacked by an elephant. He was admitted to the Norla Community Health Center in critical condition. Senior Forest officials and Narla police were present at the hospital. However, despite the best efforts of the doctors, Ranger Sushant Pal breathed his last on Sunday morning.

His body has been sent to M. Rampur for autopsy. The deceased Ranger was a duty officer of the North Forest Division in Kalahandi.
