Bhubaneswar: The valedictory function of two-day National Conference on “Regulatory Framework in Electricity Industry in India – Challenges, Governance & Future Roadmap”, was organised here on Thursday. Principal Secretary, Industries, MSME, Skill Development and Technical Education Hemant Sharma attended the program as Chief Guest.
In his valedictory address, Sharma emphasised the requirement of sustainable, economic, and environmental growth in all aspect of life. He also stressed over the reach of basic commodity like power to everyone at affordable cost.
He was welcomed by SK Srivastava, Director, NPTI. The Director General of NPTI, Dr Tripta Thakur in her concluding remarks said that topics chosen for the conference is very relevant in present scenario of Indian power sector and discussions held during conference will definitely enrich the knowledge of delegates.
She added that National Power Training Institute under Ministry of Power is an apex body for Training and is always ready to provide the platform for knowledge sharing on burning issues of Power sector. The Conference was also addressed by SK Soonee, a veteran of Power Sector and Founder CMD of POSOCO who deliberated the various Governance aspects of the Indian Power System.

The Valedictory function was conducted by A Indira, Deputy Director and concluded with vote of thanks offered by Motilal Senapati, Deputy Director, NPTI.
