Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi hailed Swami Vivekananda as an eternal consciousness, rather than just a personality, on the occasion of National Youth Day. Speaking at a program organized by Ramakrishna Mission in Bhubaneswar, Majhi emphasized the significance of Vivekananda’s ideals and spirituality in making life accessible to all.
Majhi praised Vivekananda’s enduring image as a brilliant, eloquent, and great warrior monk, who inspired Indian youth to take pride in their asceticism. He stressed the importance of feeling proud as Indians and promoting Indian language, literature, culture, and philosophy to achieve a successful and improved youth society.
The Chief Minister highlighted Vivekananda’s iconic speech at the Chicago religious meeting, which created a new history and changed the world’s perception of India’s religion and philosophy. He encouraged the youth to strive for economic prosperity and establish India’s cultural and spiritual ideas globally.
Other dignitaries, including Balasore MP Pratap Sarangi and Ekamar-Bhubaneswar MLA Babu Singh, also spoke about Vivekananda’s unique inspiration and leadership.
