Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik today advised Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chief Ministers and Central Ministers to concentrate on their own states first rather than promising to make Odisha the number state in India.
“Bharatiya Janata Party Chief Ministers and Central Ministers are coming to Odisha and promising to make Odisha the number one state in India. I think they should concentrate on their own state first,” Patnaik is heard in a video message.
Taking a swipe at Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma who has been making frequent visits to the state over the last few days and promising to make Odisha the number one state in the country, Patnaik pointed out, “The Assam Chief Minister who had just been here also promised to make Odisha number one. His per capita state deficit is double that of Odisha. He should really look into the matter of his own state”.
“The people of Odisha are laughing at them,” he concluded.
