Bhubaneswar: In a major announcement, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced to set up a milk chilling plant in Boudh.
Patnaik made the announcement while launching the distribution of Smart Health Cards under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana for the district.
Praising Boudh district for its success in milk production Patnaik announced that a milk chilling plant with 20,000 litres capacity will be established within a span of one year in the district.
He said that it will augment income to 10,000 farmers.
Praising the natural environment of Boudh district the Chief Minister said that its immense potential will be utilised for the development of tourism.
He informed that a Nandan Forest Safari will be set up at a cost of Rs 20 crore which will boost eco-tourism and provide income to 400 families.
Similarly, 37 tourist spots will be developed at an expenditure of Rs 4 crore.
