Bhubaneswar: In a fresh organizational reshuffle, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Wednesday appointed senior leader Chiranjib Biswal as the Vice President of the party.
Alongside Biswal’s elevation, Pushpendra Singh Deo and Ganeswar Behera have been appointed as Senior General Secretaries, while Lambodar Nial, Alka Mohanty, Irani Ray, Sudhir Das, and Manoj Mishra have been named General Secretaries.
Similarly, Rajesh Nigam, Santosh Pattnayak, and Raju Gheebela have been appointed as Secretaries of the party.
The appointments were formalized through an official order issued from the party headquarters, Sankha Bhavan, and signed by BJD President Naveen Patnaik. The order takes immediate effect.
Party insiders suggest that this move is part of Naveen Patnaik’s broader strategy to balance experience with fresh energy, ensuring the BJD’s continued grassroots connect while consolidating leadership at the state level.
