Bhubaneswar: BJD President Naveen Patnaik chaired a meeting of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) at his residence, advising senior party leaders to strengthen the party at the grassroots level. The meeting emphasized the need for closer coordination and outreach, particularly in the recently revamped student, youth, and women’s wings.
The BJD’s support decision for the Vice Presidential election will be announced at the appropriate time, with Patnaik set to make the final call after considering views from committee members. The party will raise key issues in the upcoming Assembly session, including rising atrocities against women and weaker sections, fertilizer shortages, and administrative lapses during the Rath Yatra.
Naveen Patnaik instructed party leaders to further strengthen youth, student, and women’s organizations, focusing on grassroots coordination and outreach. The meeting was attended by BJD Vice President Devi Prasad Mishra, Santrupta Mishra, Niranjan Pujari, Sanjay Das Burma, Pramila Mallick, and Pranab Prakash Das.
