Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik completes the fourth year of his fifth term as the Chief Minister of Odisha on Monday. On this occasion, the Chief Minister will chair a Cabinet Meeting at 10.45 am today. It will be the first Cabinet meeting after the Chief Minister made a minor reshuffle in his Council of Ministers on May 21.
Naveen Patnaik took the oath of office for the fifth term on May 29, 2019, after the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) won 112 seats in the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
During the last 23 years, the Chief Minister has continuously won the trust of the people of the state. In the last four years, there has been a significant change in the field of health, education, transport, and heritage preservation of Odisha. Whether it is the empowerment of women through Mission Shakti or BSKY health card for the poor, conversion of high schools under the 5T initiative, or beautification of religious places, the new government has been gaining people’s trust.
Keeping these in view, it is expected that the Cabinet is likely to discuss various important proposals regarding development in various sectors today. Some important decisions are likely to be taken today.
