Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today held an important meeting with senior party leaders to further strengthen the party’s organisational strength in all the seven Assembly constituencies under the Puri Parliamentary Constituency.
In the meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence-Naveen Niwas, it was decided to draw up a detailed plan within the next 30 days on how to improve the party’s performance in the Puri Parliamentary Constituency.
“We always hold discussions on our organisation and organisational work. It is a regular process. In line with that today we discussed all the assembly constituencies falling under Puri Lok Sabha constituency. We are continuously working to strengthen our organisational base and connect with the people. Since the model code of conduct has come into force we discussed how we can further connect with people under the circumstances,” informed BJD leader and Nayagarh MLA Arun Sahoo after attending the meeting at Naveen Niwas.
Apart from Sahoo, Ranpur MLA Satyanarayan Pradhan, Satyabadi MLA Uma Samantaray, Pipili MLA Rudra Maharathy, Rajya Sabha Member Subhasish Khuntia, BJD Organisational Secretary Pranab Prakash Das, former Minister Sanjay Dasburma, Rajya Sabha Member Manas Mangaraj and BJD’s Puri district observer and Agriculture Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain attended the meeting.
