Naveen Launches Distribution Of BSKY Smart Health Cards In Nabarangpur

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched the distribution of Smart Health Cards under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) and inaugurated projects worth Rs 133 crore in Nabarangpur district through the virtual mode.

Over 11,30,000  beneficiaries will benefit under BSKY in the district.

The Chief Minister said that 3.5 crore people of 96 lakh families in the state would benefit from the Smart Health Card. This will help our poor people get rid of many health problems, especially the weaker section. Now people can get better treatment at 200 major hospitals in the country by holding a piece of card without any hassle.

“For us every life is precious, be it a farmer or a labourer or a rickshaw puller – let everyone live with dignity. It’s the goal of our various welfare programmes,” the CM said.

He further stated, “Odisha is the only state where the state government bearing all the expenses starting from testing to treatment during the Corona pandemic”.

Health & Family Welfare Minister Naba Kisore Das, Sports & Youth Affairs Minister Tushar Kanti Behera, MP Ramesh Chandra Majhi, MLA Sadashiv Panigrahi among others took part in the programme at Nabarangpur.
