Naveen Patnaik Announces Health Insurance Scheme For Working Journalists Of Odisha

**Bhubaneswar:** Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced a Health Insurance scheme for all working journalists of Odisha. The scheme – Gopabandhu Sambadika Swasthya Bima Yojana will provide a total cover of Rs 2 lakh to the Journalist and upto five members of his/her family.

The scheme has been made effective from June 1, 2018 and the beneficiaries (working journalists) can contact the Information and Public Relations Department for enrolling themselves under the scheme, a press note released by the Chief Minister’s Office stated.

In the first phase, a total of 3,233 journalists will be enrolled and can avail the facilities under the insurance scheme. The Bima Card and Identification number will be issued by the I and PR Department, the note added.
