**Bhubaneswar:** Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today felicitated the contingent of Odisha Police that participated at the Independence Day parade 2018 in Kolkata.
The Odisha police contingent was adjudged as the best Marching Contingent amongst all the Armed Police contingents from West Bengal and Para Military Forces and was awarded by West Bengal Chief Minister.
The officials of the marching contingent presented the winners’ trophy to the Chief Minister.
Congratulating the police contingent for this achievement, the Chief Minister said that their performance has brought laurels for the State and hoped that they would continue to improve their performance.
Among others, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, Home Secretary Asit Tripathy, Police DG Dr RP Sharma and other senior police officers were present on the occasion.
