Deogarh: Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo on Wednesday reiterated the party’s guarantee to make electricity free for 90% of consumers in the state soon after assuming office for the sixth term after the ongoing twin elections in the state.
In a video shared by senior BJD leader and 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian during electioneering in Deogarh on Wednesday, the Chief Minister is seen saying, “This is the guarantee of the Naveen Patnaik and the Sankha symbol.”
Earlier, Pandian said, “We are in Devgarh now. With the blessings of Lord Jagannath and your support, our beloved Chief Minister Naveen Babu will take the oath as the Chief Minister of Odisha for the sixth time on June 9.”
“The first order to be signed by Naveen Babu after becoming the Chief Minister of Odisha for the sixth term will be making free electricity to 90% of people in the state. At the same time, the BJD promises to include almost all the state’s residents in the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY). Everyone, including those in state government service, can then avail the benefits of the premier health plan launched by the BJD government in Odisha.”
Naveen ends the video reel by saying, “This is the guarantee of Naveen Patnaik and the Sankha symbol.”
