Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik today addressed a public meeting at Cuttack where he targeted the BJP for neglecting Odisha during natural disasters.
“The BJP leaders make a beeline to the State during elections but disappear during calamities. They did not come to Odisha during ‘Titli’, floods or drought. But are now rushing for votes,” he said.
The Chief Minister expressed agony over stoppage of KALIA funds for farmers and said that once BJD comes to power all the eligible farmers would get Rs 10,000 in their bank accounts.
The CM then proceeded towards Khurda where he held a mega roadshow. People turned out in large numbers to catch a glimpse of Naveen.
The Chief Minister travelled through the lanes and bylanes of Begunia and Khurda in the hi-tech bus which he has been using for the election campaign.
