Ganjam: With less than a week to go for the second phase polls (April 18), Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and supremo of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) embarked on a marathon campaign spree too woo the voters today. It is notable to mention here that both Hinjili and Bijepur assembly seats, where Naveen Patnaik is contesting from, will vote in the second phase.

Beginning a long road show from Sanakhemundi, the CM travelled across Ganjam via Sheragada and Hinjili to address campaigns and meet the voters today. Addressing public meetings in some places, Naveen Patnaik highlighted the Centre’s negligence towards Odisha and asked the voters to bless the BJD twice- once for MLA and once for MP. He also addressed a mass public meeting in Hinjili in evening.

The road show covered the following areas: Mohanala, Chudangapur, Sashapur, Radhadeipur, Erendra, Khallingi, Adapada, Konkarada, Dengadi, Jagannathpur, Ramachandrapur, Kumarpani, Sheragada, Karadakana, Baramunduli, Takarada, Dhabalpur, Dhanantara, Dengapadar, Govindapur, Gothagam, Thurubai, Kurula, Alarigada, Badakhandi, Samarjhola, Kanchuru, Durbandha, Bellagam, BKPur, Nandika, Sikiri, Hinjilicut, Burupada, Podingi, Chermaria, Nalabanta and Kalasandhapur.

The Parliamentary Constituencies of Aska, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Bargarh and Sundergarh will go to polls on April 18. 35 assembly seats under these Constituencies including Hinjili and Bijepur will also vote on the same day.
