Bhubaneswar: As Leader of Opposition (LoP) and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik celebrates his 79th birthday today, renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a stunning sand sculpture on Puri Beach to pay tribute to the Odisha’s longest serving Chief Minister.
The sand art has garnered attention from tourists and locals alike, showcasing Sudarsan’s creativity and tribute to the veteran politician. The sculpture features a portrait of Naveen Patnaik, a pink cake with “Happy Birthday” written on it, and a caption mentioning Naveen’s 79th birthday.
Taking to his X handle, the sand artist wrote: “Wishing a very Happy Birthday to @Naveen_Odisha sir. May Mahaprabhu Jagannath bless you with good health and long life.”
Naveen Patnaik, the son of legendary leader Biju Patnaik, entered politics in 1997 after his father’s demise. He has been in power for over 25 years, serving as the Chief Minister of Odisha for a record 24 consecutive years.
