Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President Naveen Patnaik today campaigned for party candidates in three Lok Sabha constituencies – Bhubaneswar, Puri and Cuttack.
He also held a road show in Bhubaneswar seeking votes for BJD Lok Sabha nominee Manmath Routray and MLA candidate Susant Rout in the evening.
In his short speech from the top of the bus during road-show, Patnaik reiterated his promise of free electricity to domestic consumers from July and extension of BSKY benefits. He also highlighted the developmental work in Puri Sri Mandir and Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar.
Thousands of people greeted him on both sides of the road from the Rental colony to Omfed square in the city.
Earlier in the day, the CM held election campaigns in Khurda, Nayagarh, Puri and Cuttack. He urged voters to bless the MLA and MP candidates with in large number.
During his address to the public, he asked people whether they were happy with the announcement. A large number of people gather at the public meeting and gave a big round of applause over the CM’s speech.
The Chief Minister highlighted the benefits of various government schemes like BSKY, Mission Shakti, Mamata, LaCCMI bus, KALIA Yojana, 5T School transformation, Madhubabu Pension, Ration Card, Srimandir Parikrama and Samalei project.
Hitting out at the Opposition party leaders, Patnaik said that they are shedding crocodile tears.
