Bhubaneswar: Ever since the announcement of dates for the elections to Lok Sabha and Odisha Vidhan Sabha by the ECI, BJD president Naveen Patnaik has been reviewing the party’s organisational preparedness in the various Parliamentary Constituencies and the Assembly Constituencies therein with senior leaders at his residence Naveen Niwas.
Puri was the first Parliamentary Constituency to be reviewed by Patnaik on March 18 followed by Kendrapara.
And today in two separate meetings the BJD president reviewed Koraput and Nabarangpur Parliamentary Constituencies along with respective Assembly Constituencies under them.
The review meeting of Koraput Parliamentary Constituency held in the afternoon today was attended by Ministers Jagannath Saraka, Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Rabi Nanda, Bhaskar Rao, Pritam Padhi, Dibya Shankar Mishra.
Koraput Parliamentary Constituency has Koraput, Laxmipur, Jeypore, Pottangi, Rayagada, Gunupur and Bissam Cuttack Assembly Constituencies under it.
In the 2019 elections, BJD’s candidate for the Koraput Lok Sabha seat and candidates for the Rayagada and Jeypore Assembly seats had lost.
In the evening, Nabarangpur Parliamentary Constituency was discussed and reviewed by Patnaik.
The meeting was attended by Nabarangpur MP Ramesh Majhi, MLAs Padmini Dian, Manohar Randhari, and Prakash Chandra Majhi, Pradip Majhi BJD Organisation Secretary Pranab Prakash Das, Observer Dibya Shankar Mishra, former Umerkote MLA Subash Gond, BJD leaders Manas Madkami, Chandrasekhar Majhi among others.
