Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has urged students of IIM Sambalpur to contribute to their state by sharing their knowledge and vast experience.
“I urge each one of you, who have made remarkable achievements in your careers, to think of how you can contribute to your state. Not only think of your school as alumni.. but to be ‘Alumni of the State’ and contribute by sharing their knowledge & vast experience,” appealed Patnaik to the students of IIM Sambalpur on Saturday in his address on the occasion of the inauguration of the institute’s permanent campus at Basantpur in Sambalpur.
He said this will truly help the state transform and grow leaps and bounds.
“After all, transformation happens one person at a time-transformation begins with you,” he added.
The Chief Minister stated that the Prime Minister has set a new direction for India and the country is on the path to becoming an economic powerhouse.
“Our endeavour is for Odisha to be the manufacturing hub of eastern India and I am sure the Prime Minister will extend all the necessary support to achieve it,” he said.
He pointed out that this is the golden time for start-ups in India while adding that Odisha is a top performer in the country for the promotion of start-ups.
“Our youth should be invested in using their innovative ideas for creating jobs. The energy, the brilliance and the innovative ability of our youngsters will definitely take our country to a future that will be a guiding light for the globe,” he averred.
The Chief Minister congratulated all, especially the students and teachers for the new infrastructure at IIM Sambalpur, adding learning here will be an enriching and exciting experience for all the students.
He pointed out that IIMs are known for the quality of education they provide and in a short time, IIM Sambalpur has made its mark by creating some of the best graduates.
