Bhubaneswar: Not June 10, even in the next ten years BJP cannot win the hearts of Odisha people, proclaimed Naveen Patnaik, president of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in a video message.
“With Mahaprabhu’s blessings and the love of the people of Odisha Biju Janata Dal will form the government in Odisha for the sixth time,” asserted Patnaik in the video message released to the media on Saturday evening.
In no holds barred attack Patnaik hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for forgetting the Odia language even though it is a classical language.
The BJD president pointed out to the Prime Minister that while Rs 1000 crore was allotted to Sanskrit, Odia got zero.
Patnaik further pointed out to the PM that he had forgotten Odissi music too by twice rejecting proposals sent by him to accord classical tag to Odissi music.
“Odisha has so many great sons, some names were uttered by you today. Aren’t any of them fit for Bharat Ratna? While distributing Bharat Ratna you also forgot Odisha’s great son Biju Patnaik,” stated Patnaik.
He reminded Modi of forgetting his promise to double the MSP for farmers.
“You should have implemented the coastal highway keeping in mind the people of Odisha. That too you forgot. You are taking coal from Odisha but you have forgotten to increase the royalty in the last 10 years. Remembering Odisha only at the time of elections means nothing,” Patnaik pointed out.
“Do you remember the promises made by you in 2014 and 2019? People of Odisha have not forgotten your promises to reduce prices, create two crore jobs, reduce prices of LPG, petrol and diesel, provide mobile connectivity, and waive GST “Patnaik asked.
