Nayagarh: The Court of District and Sessions Judge here on Tuesday awarded life imprisonment to seven persons after they were convicted of a murder. The convicts have been fined Rs 10,000 each .
The convicts, Basant Sith, Bhagaban Dalabehera, Sukadeb Raut, Prakash Parida, Seshadeb Nayak, Subhashree Raut and Dhrubacharan Jena. The case was registered by Itamati police.
On February 13, 2016, one Nakul Bantha, the husband of a local Panchayat Samiti Member was attacked and killed by a group of persons. The court today convicted the aforementioned persons in this murder case.
