Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday launched simultaneous house searches at premises linked to Saswat Kumar Pattanaik, Nayagarh District Sub Registrar, for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets.
The searches are being conducted by 8 DSPs, 6 Inspectors, and other staff of the Vigilance department on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, at the following six places in Nayagarh and Kendrapara districts:
- A rented house of Pattanaik at Debottara Colony, Lane-4, Nayagarh.
- A house of Pattanaik at Talabaranga in Kendrapara district.
- Pattanaik’s office at DSR, Nayagarh.
- Pattanaik’s parental house at Talagaon village under Kudanagari police limits in Kendrapara district.
- A house of Pattanaik’s relative at Pentha in Kendrapara district.
- The house of another relative at Dalanta in Kendrapara district.
The searches are underway and further details are awaited.
