Nayagarh Minor Girl Murder: SIT Withdraws Plea For Layered Voice Analysis Of CCL

Nayagarh: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) which is investigating the sensation murder of a minor girl in Jadupur, today withdrew its petition for layered voice analysis (LVA) of the child in conflict with the law (the minor boy named in the chargesheet of SIT).

The SIT’s plea for LVA was scheduled to be heard in the Children’s Court on Friday (February 19). The hearing on this case will begin from March 1, reports stated.

“The SIT had submitted the chargesheet on February 15. LVA was a part and parcel of the investigation. Since their investigation is already over, they requested the court for withdrawal of the LVA test petition,” a senior lawyer said.

Chandrabijayi Mishra, the minor boy’s advocate said, the video which is making rounds on the internet does not have any evidential value.

“When the minor boy was in police custody he would have undergone stress said certain things. The Court will not admit the statement or confession made in police custody,” he added.
