Cuttack: The newly-built Netaji Bus Terminal in the city will be thrown open for the public on September 16.

Cuttack Mayor Subash Chandra Singh stated that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will dedicate the bus terminal to the public.

Further, he added, a trial run will be conducted at the bus terminal from September 13.

The new bus terminal sprawls over 15 acres of land at Khannagar in Cuttack and the Odisha government constructed it an expenditure of Rs 70 crore.

The foundation for the Bus Terminal was laid by Patnaik on the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on January 23, 2021.

The newly-constructed Netaji Bus Terminal is equipped with all modern facilities including bus bays and designated parking places to ensure hassle-free movement of passengers. As per a recent announcement by the State Government, the first state-of-the-art Aahaar Centre will come up at Netaji Bus Terminal with facilities to accommodate around 1000 people at a time.
