**Sambalpur: ** Despite repeated and intense awareness launched by both the Government and NGOs and even amid Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s passionate slogan ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’, a new born girl child was shockingly rescued from a paddy field in this Western Odisha’s district here on Monday morning.
The relentlessly abandond cute baby girl has been rescued from Santikira village near Goshala under Burla Police Station limits when some villagers noticed her while they had been to the spot for their usual morning call of nature and ablutions.
The villagers were taken aback to discover the cute little angel lying in the midst of the harvested paddy field. They at once intimated their fellow villagers.
Rescuing the beautiful baby girl, the villagers informed the local Goshala Out Post. With the help of police personnel, the baby has been rushed to Burla VIMSAR.
Her health condition is stated to be stable.
