Bhubaneswar: With 12 civil defence organisations currently operational in the state, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed the formation of new organisations in other areas as required.

The CM appealed to the youth mass of the State to join the civil defence organization as volunteers, serving the country and contributing to the safety and security of citizens.

Emphasising the collective responsibility of protecting lives and property, Majhi urged young people to come forward with a spirit of nationalism.

Highlighting the importance of security and service, Majhi said, “The safety of lives and property of common people is our collective responsibility. Security and service are our highest duties.”

He encouraged interested individuals to apply directly to the Collectors, who serve as controllers of district civil defence.

The Chief Minister assured that these social activists would receive training and provide essential services to people in times of need.

Majhi expressed hope that the youth would join the civil defence organization with a motive of service and nationalism, further strengthening the spirit of service and patriotism in the state.
