Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government is set to release new guidelines for its flagship program, the Subhadra Yojana, specifically targeting beneficiaries whose applications were previously rejected.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced today that a high-level meeting will be soon held to discuss eligibility criteria and explore ways to include ineligible beneficiaries under the scheme.
“In the upcoming meeting, we will review the rejected list of 2.67 lakh applicants and determine the criteria under which they may qualify for inclusion,” said Parida.
She further informed that the third phase of the first installment of Subhadra Yojana would be released shortly. While an exact date has not been confirmed, beneficiaries who were previously left out in the initial two phases will receive Rs 5,000 in this third phase.
Since the program’s launch on September 17 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, nearly 60 lakh women have received Rs 5,000 in the first two phases. Around 25 lakh women beneficiaries had received money in the first phase, while more women got the assistance in the second phase of disbursement on October 9.
The government’s ongoing efforts are meant to ensure wider inclusion in the Subhadra Yojana, which aims to financially empower women across Odisha.
