Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer Manoj Satyawan Mahajan, the newly appointed Collector of Koraput district, visited Kotia Panchayat on Thursday to oversee the development projects undertaken by the Odisha government.
During his visit, Mahajan inspected various development works and interacted with the villagers, listening to their grievances and problems.
The Collector toured different villages in Kotia Panchayat, engaging with the locals and understanding their concerns. He assured them that efforts would be made to address their issues and find solutions to their problems.
This visit marks one of Mahajan’s first field visits after taking charge as the Collector of Koraput, demonstrating his commitment to understanding the needs and challenges of the district’s rural areas.
Mahajan has officially assumed the charge as the new Collector of Koraput district, replacing V.Y. Keerthi Vasan.
Prior to this, he was serving as the Collector of Sundargarh district.
After taking charge as Koraput Collector, Mahajan emphasised the importance of accelerating developmental work in the district. He stressed the need for maintaining transparency and punctuality in government work and ensuring the successful implementation of various welfare schemes.
