Bhubaneswar: If a notification issued by the Odisha Police State Headquarters, Cuttack, on Sunday is any indication, the state is likely to get a new DGP soon.
In the latest notification, the State Police Headquarters has sought bio-data from three IPS officers – AK Ray, SM Narvane, and YB Khurania.
AK Ray, an IPS officer 1988-batch is currently serving as the Director, Printing, Publication, and Stationary, Cuttack, while SM Narvane, a 1989-batch IPS officer, is now serving as the OSD, Home Department, and 1990-batch IPS officer YB Khurania, is the Special Director General of BSF posted at BSF headquarters in New Delhi.
All three IPS officials have been asked to furnish a proposal for convening the Empanelment Committee Meeting for the selection of the DGP (HoPF) for the state of Odisha.
The notification reads, “Please furnish your bio-data covering all the points in the prescribed format including academic achievements by return fax onward submission to the Home Department, Government of Odisha.
