Bhubaneswar: Queue system will be introduced at the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri from January 1, 2025 to ensure an orderly and seamless darshan experience for devotees.
Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan said that the new system will improve crowd management and maintain discipline inside the temple.
“We have made arrangements to ensure that devotees can have a smooth darshan of Lord Jagannath, whether they are in the Nata Mandap or the Bahara Katha area,” he said.
Under the new setup, devotees will enter the temple from one designated entry point and exit from another, simplifying the flow of visitors. Additionally, special arrangements will be in place for elderly devotees and persons with disabilities (PwDs) to make their visit more convenient.
The Law Minister appealed for the support and cooperation of all stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the queue system, which aligns with practices followed by other prominent temples across the country.
