Bhubaneswar: A newborn baby boy was rescued from a bush near the Chasagurujang playground under Pallahara police limits in Angul district, on Monday night.
According to reports, local residents heard the baby’s cries and informed the district administration. The baby was found lying in a bush near the playground and was immediately taken to the Palalahada Sub-Divisional Hospital, where it is currently receiving treatment at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The baby’s health is reported to be stable.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident and are trying to identify the parents of the baby.
The rescue operation was carried out by the Palalahada Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), police, and a team of officials who reached the spot and arranged for the baby’s transportation to the hospital via ambulance.
