Balasore: A horrific incident has come to light in Balasore district’s Soro police station area, where a newborn baby was found mutilated by stray dogs.

The incident occurred at Chittal panchayat under Bahanaga block.

According to reports, locals spotted a group of dogs feeding on the baby’s head and leg and immediately alerted the Anantapur police outpost.

Upon being informed, police arrived at the scene, recovered the remains, and buried them near the bamboo grove with the help of locals.

The incident has sparked controversy over the police’s handling of the case, with intellectuals questioning why they buried the remains without proper investigation.

The circumstances surrounding the baby’s death are unclear, but foul play is suspected.
