Bhawanipatna: A newborn boy abandoned in the toilet of Dhanbad-Alappuzha (Bokaro) Express was rescued by the Railway Police Force (RPF) at Visakhapatnam Railway Station in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.
Reportedly, at around 1.30 AM last night, some passengers heard the cries of the baby and informed the TTE who reported the matter to the on-duty Sub-Inspector of RPF at the railway station, Pushpa Rani Bisoi.
SI Bisoi rescued the child and informed the matter to Chief Station Manager PVSR Suresh. She immediately admitted the baby to Waltair Division Railway Hospital. He was later shifted to King George Hospital.
Meanwhile, the health of the baby boy is stated to be stable. He has been handed over to childcare authorities. Bisoi, who is a resident of Berhampur in Odisha, has been lauded for her work.
