Newborn’s Body Found Floating In Canal

Bhawanipatna: The body of a newborn baby was found in a canal in Kusumakhunti village in Kalahandi district on Monday. The baby’s body was spotted by locals while it was floating neaer Kusumakhunti on Indravati left bank canal in Kokasara block. Local police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. “The baby’s body has been disposed of by its parents for reasons unknown. A case has been registered and investigation is underway,” a police official said.
