Bhubaneswar: A newly-wed woman was found dead at her home at Ramchandra Nagar under Digapahandi police station in Ganjam district. Police recovered the hanging body of the woman and sent it for post-mortem.

The deceased woman has been identified as Chandrami Gouda.

According to reports, Chandrami had married Jogi Sahu’s son Bulu, a vendor, a few days ago and family disputes are believed to have led to her decision to end her life.

Digapahandi police have registered a case of unnatural death in this connection and sent the body for post-mortem to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.

Police will determine the exact cause of death after receiving the autopsy report, said IIC Kishore Kumar Samal.
