Bhubaneswar: Two persons have been detained by a team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) from Odisha for their links with the violence that took place in Birbhum district of West Bengal on March 21.
While there has been no official communication in this matter, reports said, the two persons are being questioned by a team of NIA officials at Bhubaneswar.
Six women and two children were set afire in the violence which took place in Birbhum following the death of a panchayat representative in Bagtui village of the district.
The premier agency is probing the incident following an order of the Calcutta High Court last month. On April 21, the Calcutta HC ordered the transfer of investigation of the incidents in Birbhum to the NIA
