Bhubaneswar: The night curfew in the State, which usually begins at 7 pm every day, has been relaxed for three hours and will start at 10 pm on June 12.
The decision was taken in order to facilitate people to do their pre-festival shopping. An order from the Special Relief Commissioner’s office stated the same.
Raja festival or Raja Parba is a three-day-long festival celebrating the onset of monsoons and the earth’s womanhood. The festival is essentially the celebration of the earth’s womanhood because the 3 days of Raja are the days it is considered the mother earth or ‘Basumati’ or Bhudevi is menstruating.
