Bhubaneswar: Even as dry weather prevailed in most parts of Odisha, the minimum temperature dropped significantly and hovered between 13°C and 17°C at seven other places – Daringbadi (13°C), Koraput (13.2°C), Phulbani (13.5°C), Kirei (14.8°C), Bhawanipatna (15.5°C), Angul (16°C) and Keonjhar (16.8°C) during the last 24 hours.
The minimum temperatures (night temperature) recorded in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack was 20°C and 20.4°C respectively.
According to the midday bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday, the maximum temperatures observed no major change in the districts of Odisha. They were above normal at a few places in coastal Odisha, at one or two places in interior Odisha and normal at elsewhere.
The highest maximum temperature of 34.2°C was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 13.5°C was recorded at Phulbaniin the plains of Odisha.
