Night Temperature Likely To Increase By 2°-3°C From Today: IMD

Bhubaneswar: Even as a cold wave continues to grip several parts of Odisha, the regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the minimum temperature (night temperature) is very likely to rise gradually by 2°-3°C during the next two days and there will be no large change in weather conditions thereafter.

The weather office has said that there may be light rain at one or two places in Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, and Puri while dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places in the districts of Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and Sundargarh.

The highest maximum temperature of 30.0°C was recorded at Bhadrak and Jagatsinghpur and the lowest minimum temperature of 7.2°C was recorded at Rourkela in the plains of Odisha on Tuesday.

Weather forecast and warning for districts of Odisha:

Day 1 (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 19.12.2024)

Light rain is very likely to occur at one or two places in the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, and Puri while dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places in Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and Sundargarh.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 19.12.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 20.12.2024)

Light to moderate rain is very likely to occur at one or two places in Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada,

Gajapati, Ganjam, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, and Puri.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 20.12.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 21.12.2024)

Light to moderate rain is very likely to occur at a few places in the districts of coastal Odisha & at one or two places in the districts of interior Odisha.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 21.12.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 22.12.2024)

Light rain is very likely to occur at one or two places in the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur & dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 22.12.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 23.12.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 6 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 23.12.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 24.12.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 7 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 24.12.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 25.12.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
