Bhubaneswar: Most places in Odisha recorded slightly higher night temperatures than normal. The rise in minimum temperature has offered respite from the biting cold, which plagued people in several regions of the state during the last few weeks.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar has forecast that most places in Odisha recorded temperatures 2°C to 5°C than expected. It further said that the state will experience dry weather during the next five days.

The MeT has predicted the possibility of a medium amount of fog in some places in the mornings for the next two or three days. However, some places may experience dense fog.

The MeT in Bhubaneswar has issued a yellow warning for fog in nine districts – Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Kandhamal, Angul, Dhenkanal, and Cuttack.

A yellow warning for fog has been issued for 11 districts tomorrow. These districts include Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Koraput.

A yellow warning for dense fog has been issued for six districts of Odisha – Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Koraput, Kandhamal and Kalahandi on January 22.
