Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi distributed appointment letters to 476 officers and employees across various departments at the Lok Seva Bhavan. The event was organized by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department.
Addressing the gathering, CM Majhi congratulated the newly appointed officers and employees, emphasizing that their role is not just a job, but a responsibility to serve the people. He stressed that public servants must ensure the benefits of government welfare schemes reach the most vulnerable sections of society.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to employment, CM Majhi announced plans to fill 1.5 lakh government posts in the next five years, with a focus on merit-based selection. Additionally, initiatives are being taken to create employment opportunities for 3.50 lakh young women in the industrial sector, he added.
The appointed officers and employees will join various departments, including Fisheries and Animal Resources, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare, Higher Education, Health and Family Welfare, Information and Public Relations, Planning and Coordination, and Scheduled ST, SC Department.
Dignitaries present at the event included Ministers Suresh Pujari, Nityanand Gond, Suryabansi Suraj, and Gokula Nanda Mallik, as well as Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja and other officials.
